Foundation Programme and Advanced diploma in SQA Architectural Technology

SQA Advanced Diplomas are widely recognized as the equivalent to the first two years of a three-year bachelor’s degree. Miba students can “top-up” their SQA qualifications by progressing directly to the third-year degree (top-up degree) offered by the Lincoln University College Malaysia. They can also continue on to complete a Master’s degree in 1215 months. This is a unique opportunity for Miba students to earn world-class qualifications in the shortest span of time, without travelling overseas for high quality education.

Course Objectives

The Foundation and Advanced Diploma in SQA Advanced Diploma in Architectural Technology develops knowledge and skills in areas such as architectural design sketching, drawing and procedures, construction technology, design of building structures, and architectural technology. The programme also covers influences on the development of architectural, construction technology (domestic construction/ specialist systems), mathematics, construction, and statutory control of buildings. Students will gain contemporary vocational skills including study, research, analysis, planning and organisational skills. They will also learn to take responsibility for their own learning and develop abilities to be flexible and to work co-operatively with others.
